For the way you cook

Using Saltpaper

Updated October 23, 2026

A few practical details about the app, your recipes and connected features.

Your recipes and sources

Saltpaper helps you keep a personal cookbook. Recipes and photographs from other people remain subject to their owners’ rights. Save and share content only when you have the right to do so. Keep source attribution with imported recipes.

Review before you cook

Website extraction, text recognition and AI suggestions can make mistakes. Check amounts, fractions, ingredients and instructions. Suggested variations are untested until you try them. Saltpaper does not provide medical advice, certify allergen safety, or guarantee food-safety or nutrition information.

Connected features

Website imports, recipe assistance and optional iCloud features depend on a network connection and other services. Availability can vary. Recipe assistance is subject to service limits and requires your permission before content is shared with OpenAI. Your saved local cookbook remains available without that permission.

Keep your own backup

Use Settings to export and save a separate cookbook backup before restoring data, switching devices or making major changes. Local recovery copies and optional sync do not replace an independent backup.

App Store terms

Your App Store download is also governed by Apple’s applicable terms, including the standard licensed application end user license agreement where it applies. The App Store product page provides the current availability and any price information.
